Good collection of classic fairy tales for a toddler?
My husband and I recently bought a Jack and the Beanstalk book for my 3 year old. He loved the book but it was a different story than I remember reading/hearing and even the Giant said something to the effect of "fee fi fo fum watch out human here I come" which is nothing like the original story. Does anyone know where I can obtain a book that contains these classic fairy tales and not the modernized condensed versions?
The original Grimm tales, as well as those of Anderson, are still widely available in all their gruesomeness. That's probably where I'd start.
