Well, feminists tend to hate on Sex and the City as is. It portrays as pretty shallow and empty. People need to get that "men vs. women, RARR i'm a feminist and i eat men for breakfast!" mentality out of their heads. Feminists don't hate men. at all. That's not what it's about. That would be completely contrary to all of our core beliefs. It's about equality for everyone.... men, women, minorities, the disabled, the list goes on and on...
So no, I don't think they could pull off a male version without a lot of criticism since that didn't even come close to happening with the female version.
