what kind of dachshund is my puppy?
I have 3 week old miniature pups. I am a new breeder. I have three pups 1 female black and tan (smooth), 1 male black and tan(smooth) and 1 long hair, (this is where i am a little confused), This puppy is black, and where his tan points should be it's mixed with black. He is almost solid black on the lower half of his body. He has a white strip on his chest as well. I was thinking maybe sable or wild boar? Any ideas?
hmmm... you ask "Any ideas?" -- how about either find a breed mentor who can assist you with this or simply admit that you haven't done the research necessary on your breed to be breeding .. especially if your dogs are low quality enough to be producing that big a fault.
